Marine Mover: Doug Thompson to lead BoatTEST.com’s Hi-Performance Sales

STAMFORD, Conn. – Doug Thompson will lead BoatTEST Publishing’s Hi-Performance boat sales efforts, the company’s publisher Chris Kelly said in a recent press release.

Thompson, who joined BoatTEST.com last December to handle the company’s bass boat sales, was the former editor of Powerboat magazine from 1995 to 2000, and was also the editor of Bass & Walleye Boats magazine from 2000 to 2002.

“Hi-performance and bass-boat buyers are extremely Internet savvy and keyed into online research,” Thompson said. “They understand performance numbers and the benefit of having the quality speed and fuel-usage data that is available through BoatTEST.com, and it helps them when they are ready to buy a new boat.”

Kelly added that Thompson will be based in his office in Hollywood, Fla.
