MARINE MOVER – Bill Gerhart joins Beard Marine Air Conditioning as controller

MIAMI, Fla. – Larry Beard, president of Beard Marine Air Conditioning, said today that Bill Gerhart has joined the company as controller.

Gerhart has been a fixture in the South Florida Marine Community for over 30 years, according to a release issued by the company, and became friends with Beard in the 70’s, during Gerhart’s 20 years as CFO of Derecktor Gunnell shipyard in Dania. Gerhart has held similar positions with Burger Boat, and for the last seven years at Lauderdale Propeller Service.

Beard has charged Gerhart with the controller responsibilities for all of his locations: Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Savannah.

Beard said that while he was happy with his organizations continual growth, he has always felt that the explosion that would take him to the next level was just an inch away, and he believes the addition of Gerhart will provide the spark.
