Marine Mover: Trident promotes four employees

CANONSBURG, Penn. – Trident Rubber Inc. has promoted four employees – Rich Becker, Dan Engel, Dan Shields and Barb Shields, company founder and president Bill Shields reported in a statement today.

Becker, who has worked at the company for more than 16 years, was promoted to executive vice president, having served in the past as senior vice president, controller and purchasing manager.

Engel is Trident’s new general manager, after having been the customer/technical service and warehouse manager during his 16-1/2 years with the company. He will continue his duties managing customer service and the warehouse, but will add the role of office staff manager, according to the company.

Dan Shields was promoted to vice president and director of southern U.S. sales, and is currently working to establish a warehouse in Florida to support those efforts. He will be located at Trident’s new sales office in St. Augustine.
Barb Shields will move from customer account manager to vice president of marketing and sales. Shield’s previous experience includes 14 years of sales experience with 3 years as Key Account Manager in Canada. She then began working for Trident Rubber about two years ago and has progressed within the company
since then.
In her new position, Sheilds will remain responsible for customer account sales analysis, as well as putting an additional focus on marketing, the company reported.

The company’s “substantial growth” was cited by Bill Shields as one reason for the promotions.
