Marine Mover: Jason White promoted to associate publisher of three World Publications titles
NEWPORT, R.I. – Jason White has been promoted to associate publisher, announced Sally Helme, publisher of World Publications’ Cruising World, Sailing World and Power Cruising magazines, in a statement today.
In his new role with the three magazines, as well as with the company’s NOOD Regatta series, White will drive the marine sales effort for print ads, online projects and sponsorship opportunities, according to the publishing firm.
White served as the advertising director for the past two years after starting his career with the magazines in 1995 as a regional sales manager. Before that, he worked for Lewmar Marine and International Marine Industries.
“Jason has proven himself to be an invaluable member of our sales team,” Helme said. “His outstanding contribution to our sales success over the past two years led to this promotion, reflecting the vital role he plays in our business.”
A former U.S. Merchant Marine officer, White earned his MBA at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He lives in Stonington, Conn., with his wife, Maureen, and their two sons.
