Ed Massey to serve as new Sail America president

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Sail America Board of Directors has elected Ed Massey, founder of Massey Yacht Sales & Service, as Sail America’s new president, the association reported in its newsletter.

Linda Klockner, marketing communications director for Sail Magazine, has been reelected to her second term as a Sail America board member and is the new treasurer. Bill Bolin, Island Packet’s director of sales and marketing, is the new vice president of the National Boat Show Committee.

Returning vice presidents are Sally Helme, publisher of Sailing World and Cruising World, who chairs the Marketing Committee and Harry Munns, a founder and executive vice president of the American Sailing Association, who chairs the Association Committee.

New board members are Walt Brown, founder of Layline, and George Day, the publisher and editor of Blue Water Sailing magazine.
