Marine Mover: K2 Inc. appoints new president of Stearns division

CARLSBAD, Calif. – K2 Inc. (NYSE: KTO) has appointed Paul Ebnet to the position of president of Stearns Inc., the company reported in a statement today.

Ebnet has over 24 years of experience at Stearns in several capacities including his most recent position as senior vice president for sales, marketing, and product development, according to K2.

Commenting on the promotion, Wayne Merck, president and chief operating officer of K2 Inc. said, “Paul is uniquely qualified to lead Stearns given the significant future growth opportunities and his background in multiple functional areas in the organization. In addition, the management team that has been cultivated over many years at Stearns is certainly one of the strongest teams in the industry.”

The Stearns division of K2 Inc. manufacturers sports products including personal flotation devices; wetsuits; inflatable towables; inflatable boats, kayaks, and canoes; marine cordage and accessories; and waterproof, floatable dry bags.
