Marine Mover: Defender names new inventory/receiving supervisor

WATERFORD, Conn. – Defender Industries has appointed Glen Simpson as inventory/receiving supervisor, announced Stephan Lance, vice president and shareholder, in a statement today.

Simpson comes to Defender Industries after 8 years at U.S. FoodService managing its warehouse operation.

The company stated that he will play an important role in further improving the timely customer shipments of Defender products, which will enable Defender to meet its challenge to be the “Marine Outfitter of choice for boating enthusiasts.”

“Glen is a welcome addition to the new Defender Management Team,” stated Al Knupp, Defender’s executive director. “His level of experience and expertise in inventory and receiving management will help Defender continue to improve inventory accuracy, order fill rates and customer satisfaction.”

Defender Industries, established in 1938, is a family-owned marine outfitter and supplier of boating equipment, supplies, accessories, apparel, inflatable boats and outboard motors for boating enthusiasts worldwide via catalog and throughout the NorthEastern U.S. at the Defender Warehouse Outlet Store located at its headquarters on Great Neck Road in Waterford, Conn.
