Marine Mover: Defender Industries promotes Purdy

WATERFORD, Conn. — Steven Purdy has been promoted to the position of assistant warehouse outlet store manager for Defender Industries, Stephan Lance, vice president and shareholder of the company, announced in a statement October 27.

In his new position, Purdy’s primary responsibilities include further improving the quality and consistency of Defender’s customer service, according to the company.

“Steve is a welcome addition to the new Defender management team,” said Al Knupp, executive director of Defender. “He’s an avid lifelong boater having owned/operated both power and sail vessels and navigated waters from North Carolina to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The expertise only his years of business and boating experience can provide will help Defender continue to increase customer satisfaction.”
