Marine Mover: Guilford joins the U.S. Marine and Meridian Yachts team

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – U.S. Marine and Meridian Yachts have appointed Matt Guilford as marketing communications manager for the company brands Bayliner, Maxum and Trophy, Brunswick Boat Group announced Monday.

In his new position, Guilford’s primary responsibility will be the development and delivery of key messages concerning the U.S. Marine and Meridian lines of quality fiberglass boats. He also will be responsible for public and media relations, providing increased avenues for brand exposure and recognition, according to the company.

Guilford joins the companies from the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tenn., where he was responsible for marketing as part of the public affairs office. Prior to his most recent assignment at Y-12, Guilford also worked for Bechtel National on assignment in Sofia, Bulgaria, and for Lockheed Martin.

“We’re excited to have Matt as part of the team,” said Dave Taylor, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “We hope to capitalize on his previous work communicating important messages and information in a technical, concise and easy-to-understand manner. We believe Matt will be a tremendous help in furthering our communication goals and expanding the reach and message of each of our brands.”
