What are some of the biggest lessons you have learned working in the marine industry? I have learned that it is so important to stay focused on why we are in the business, which is to deliver the lifestyle of boating to families … there is no better family recreation than boating.
Was it difficult to navigate a career in this industry? Why or why not? It was not difficult for me because of the wonderful leadership team at MarineMax led by Bill McGill who values each and every team member and encourages each of us to realize our full potential in work and life.
How do you hope to inspire other women in the marine industry? It has always been my goal to create opportunities for women in the industry and to provide support and encouragement to women taking leadership roles throughout the industry. I hope to inspire others by setting an example of professionalism and balance.
What advice do you have for women starting their careers in the marine industry? Find your passion for what you love in the marine industry and stay focused on that passion because it will lead to success.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working in the boating industry? It is hard to imagine anything else! I just love what I do.
What are some of your favorite non-boating hobbies? Spending time with my family, exercising and watching my kids play tennis and soccer, dance and enjoy life!
