In a dynamic collaboration that is already making waves, Lowe Boats and Favorite USA have joined forces to offer the Lowe 198 Favorite.

The boat features an all-welded aluminum hull paired with a 150-horsepower Mercury FourStroke, which delivers 5,800 rpm at full throttle. The boat also features a 29-gallon fuel tank, so that users can maximize time on the water.

The dual-console 198 provides 83 square-feet of deck space with shock-absorbent SeaDek flooring; two Humminbird fishfinder/chartplotter units with built-in Bluetooth; a Minn Kota Ultrex 80-MDI-IP trolling motor; and a variety of storage locations, including a secure, 10-tube rod locker that can accommodate rods up to 8.5 feet in length.

Lowe Boats also introduced a Roughneck 25th anniversary model for outdoor enthusiasts. Now that it has reached the quarter-century mark, the manufacturer has released its 25th Anniversary Roughneck 1860, with more features.

This special-edition Roughneck 1860 features lightweight, wood-free, all-welded construction. Lowe said the 18-footer provides a smooth, dry ride with its variable deadrise at the bow and VorTrac V at the transom.

The Roughneck 1860 25th Anniversary model comes equipped with a 19-gallon livewell, and available options include a pedestal fish seat, trolling motor with harness, rod and gun box, bilge pump and navigation lights. It can carry a maximum of six people, with outboard power options ranging from 20 to 60 horsepower.

Fishing Machine Models

2020 Lowe FM 1775 SC

The new FM 1775 WT and FM 1775 SC both offer a variety of storage options, with a side storage compartment, center rod locker with trolling-motor battery storage, and an optional bow cargo net. In addition, they have two aerated livewells, a 14-gallon well in the bow and a 19-gallon well in the stern.

“We’ve also made the windshield walkway wider in our FM 1775 WT model, expanding it from 16 to 20 inches,” said Shannon Martin, Lowe Boats category manager. “That will let you easily move between the bow and the stern for casting, landing your fish, and accessing the two livewells.”

Lowe Boats has redesigned the optional rear-deck conversion bench for both models.

“We added an adjustable gunwale cleat system, so you can put cleats right where you need them,” said Martin. “There are popular options like the ski pylon and swim platform as well.”

Lowe Boats also announced changes for 2020 to its 16-foot Fishing Machine models to create the FM1675 Walk-Thru and FM1675 Side Console. These 16-foot, 9-inch deep-V boats now offer updated design features and more amenities.

“This year’s models have a new gunwale with receiver track, and we’ve moved the cleats to the track,” Martin explained. “We have plenty of built-in storage, including a side rod locker and trolling-motor battery storage near the bow and we expanded the WT’s center walkway from 16 to 20 inches.”

“Best of all, we have a 19-gallon aerated livewell aft, and a 14-gallon aerated livewell forward,” Martin continued. “You can hold all your fish without having to walk back and forth.”

In addition, Lowe Boats has incorporated a new fuel tank and added a range of options, including a redesigned rear-deck conversion bench, portside windscreen, bow cargo netting to port and starboard, LED interior lighting, and a choice of sport top, Bimini top or sport top with walkaway curtain.
