Dometic receives Yamaha Motor Global Award
Dometic announced it has received a Global Award for Excellence in Technology and Development from Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. for the SeaStar Yamaha Integrated Electric Steering Actuator.
“To date, SeaStar Solutions; part of the Dometic Group, has shipped thousands of these advanced steering actuators for use with Yamaha XTO outboard motors on vessels around the world,” a news release from Dometic stated.
SeaStar representatives traveled to Japan to accept the award during the Yamaha Motor Co. 2019 Global Suppliers Conference. This marked the first time in history that this annual award from Yamaha Motor Co. was bestowed upon a North American supplier.
“We were deeply honored to accept this award on behalf of our entire company. This highly contested award recognizes excellence in more than just the marine industry. SeaStar was competing with thousands of suppliers around the world manufacturing parts for Yamaha Motor Co. across a wide range of business sectors including motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, snowmobiles, golf carts, Waverunners, boats and outboard engines,” Eric Fetchko, President of Dometic Marine Americas said.
