Blue Guard Innovations announces Caribbean retailer
Blue Guard Innovations announced that Island Water World has been appointed to distribute and retail the company’s products in the Caribbean.
Island Water World has seven stores across the Caribbean; two in Dutch Sint Maarten, one in French St Martin, one in St Lucia, two in Grenada and one in Curacao.
“Having worked with Island Water World over the years in numerous other ventures within the marine industry, I’m very excited to continue the relationship and expand our brand with a very well represented and know company in the Caribbean,” said BGI Global Sales Director Alan Brown.
BGI has developed an innovative, patented range of solid-state smart switches and sensors that are able to detect water as well as oil and fuel spills in the bilge and engine compartments, preventing them from accidentally discharging overboard.
The BGI range includes the BG-One Smart Bilge Pump Switch (shown here), a winner of the 2019 Pittman Innovation Award in the Systems category. It was also the winner of the product innovation award in the Mechanical Systems category at IBEX 2018 and received a Special Mention from the DAME Design Award 2018 judges in the machinery, propulsion, mechanical and electrical systems and fittings category at METSTRADE.
