NMMA to host first state political fly-in

NMMA will raise its political advocacy to a new level on March 20-21, 2019 with the association’s first state political fly-in. To be held in Florida’s state capitol in Tallahassee, the event will focus on bringing its priorities of conservation, consumer protection, and infrastructure to decision makers.

Woven throughout the meetings with political and business leaders will be the release of our new state and regional economic impact data. Expanding the recreational boating industry’s brand before opinion leaders is an important goal in NMMA’s Strategic Industry Business Plan.

Voters and business owners carry more political sway than any lobbyist. NMMA members Florida fly-in will have immediate impact on key legislation in 2019, and for coming years. The relationships built over these two days will be invaluable.

NMMA said Expanding the industry’s presence before state lawmakers and regulators will be rolled out throughout the country. These events also are an opportunity for those who have yet to attend an American Boating Congress in Washington to get involved in the political process in their state.
