Heyday unveils WT-2 Dual Console

Heyday’s latest model combines the overall length of its WT-2 with the popular dual console layout of its largest model, the WT-Surf.
 
The WT-2 Dual Console maintains an overall length of 22 feet, 6 inches and Heyday’s signature hull that’s specifically engineered to create a clean, powerful wake for boarding and surfing. The new dual console layout creates an interior with an 11-person capacity. 
 
Highlights include a full windshield with lockable center panel, wraparound cockpit seating, a massive bow seating area complete with port and starboard adjustable armrests, and Heyday’s ‘hot tub’ seats that safely get passengers closer to the action. A new walkthrough from the cockpit to the swim platform features an integrated transom step, creating a prep area for riders. Bow and cockpit speakers, cell phone storage areas, USB ports and auxiliary inputs keep passengers charged up and connected. 
 
“We’re constantly evolving and looking for ways to finesse our lineup and the WT-2DC is a perfect example of this,” said Heyday’s President, Keith Yunger. “We were able to take the most popular aspects of our WT-Surf model and offer them in a WT-2-sized package.” 
 
The integrated ballast tanks are controlled by simple toggle switches at the helm and can accept up to 1,800 pounds of water combined. For a consistent wake, an analog fuel gauge and speed control are standard. The sturdy wake tower easily folds aft for added convenience when storing.
 
The WT-2DC is finished with non-skid SeaDek flooring and offers plenty of onboard storage throughout the boat. A sizeable in-floor ski locker, portside storage locker, and under-seat storage throughout the bow, cockpit and stern offer plenty of room for wake sports gear, day bags, towels, and more. 
 
In addition to the wraparound windshield, extra-deep gunnels provide added safety and protection from the elements, even in rougher water. Twin sponsons at the bow also enable the boat to navigate large waves while returning to the rider without taking on water and give the boat overall stability at slower speeds. 
 
Standard power is a 5.7L Crusader 350 HP, with Coastal Edition and 6.2L Mercury 320 HP options also available. Crusader engines allow for the addition of an optional 9-inch touchscreen display with engine data or tablet display dash. Mercury engines offer a touchscreen upgrade with integrated engine and speed data. 
 
Below the water, Heyday’s unique 117-degree transom angle creates a better wave shape for superior push. When the boat is pitched, radiused transom corners work in concert with the transom angle to create a natural curl. An extra-wide transom helps cancel out prop torque, preserving the wake symmetry.

For greater displacement, Heyday’s Bailing Strakes push water from beneath the hull, reducing the boat’s resistance to downforce. Combined with its exceptionally deep aft freeboard, every model in the Heyday lineup is designed from the bottom up to displace more water and generate pro-approved wakes.
