Bayliner introduces new DX models

Bayliner unveiled its new DX2000 outboard and DX2050 sterndrive deck boat models. Both new models offer a sharp profile with multiple interior layout options and will hit showrooms for the 2019 boat show season.

The new DX2000 and DX2050 offer an overall length of 19 feet, 6 inches with an 8-foot-1-inch beam, boasting a 10-person capacity on the DX2000, and nine-person capacity on the DX2050. In addition to a spacious bow and versatile transom lounge, the DX models offer multiple popular floor plan options that allow customers to select the interior configuration that best meets their needs.

The three optimized floor plan options include: 1) a maximum seating layout with wraparound cockpit seating and storage, 2) an entertainment layout that offers a wet bar area with freshwater sink and grocery locker, or 3) a dual-console layout that incorporates a full windshield for additional protection from the elements.

Bayliner focused on improving the traditional deck boat profile by adding hull side sculpting and crafting a custom sheer line to match the line of the boat. Both DX models deliver modern style lines, giving these deck boats a level of stylish appeal similar to Bayliner’s broad bow runabouts.

“We wanted to give deck boat customers an innovative option that combines a stylish look with the versatile functionality they expect from a deck boat,” said Bayliner President Keith Yunger.“These new models deliver both, creating a new type of value for families and day boaters.”

Both the DX2000 and DX2050 offer families multiple access points to the water, with an anchor locker and ladder located at the bow, and a ladder off the full-beam integrated swim platform. An extremely spacious ski locker in the cockpit conveniently stores water sports gear and dry storage under seating keeps the spacious deck clutter-free.

All three interior layouts offer substantial seating with rich upholstery and high-density foam to provide living room-like comfort from bow to stern. Optional bow filler cushions can be added to create even more lounging space. Aft, a generous sun pad with an adjustable 2-position backrest creates a transitional lounger that also features non-slip phone storage trays and USB and 12V inputs. The entire lounging surface also raises to reveal spacious storage below. A walkthrough to the transom offers in-floor storage for a cooler.

Standard power on the DX2000 is Mercury Marine’s 115 HP EFI FourStroke outboard, with Mercury 115 HP Pro XS, 150 HP EFI FourStroke, and 175 HP GW FourStroke outboard options also available. The DX2050 offers a standard Mercury Marine 200 HP ECT 4.5L A1 sterndrive, with Mercury 250 HP ECT 4.5L MPI A1 and 250 HP ECT 4.5L MPI B3 sterndrive options available.
