ABBRA gears up for 2019 symposium

The American Boatbuilders & Repairers Association is looking forward to their 2019 Annual Meeting and Symposium scheduled for Jan. 22-23 at the Pier 66 Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. As the only conference specifically designed by boatyard operators for boatyard operators, the event is focused on the issues facing boatbuilding and repair companies today.

The event will begin with the annual business meeting, awards presentations and cocktail party on Jan. 22, and continues on Jan. 23 with a full day of thought-provoking workshops that will encourage attendees to share their thoughts, concerns and solutions to the problems that so many businesses deal with every day.

“We have an excellent line up of speakers – including this year’s keynote which will be delivered by Richard Downs-Honey, President of The Landing School, along with perennial favorites like Steve Kitchin of New England Institute of Technology and attorney Ben Ford, Verrill Dana LLP, along with Katie Spiker, National Skills Coalition a new comer to the conference. And we are really looking forward to a special conversation with Wendy Goodwin, Cape Cod Shipbuilding, Jessica Parker, Parker’s Boat Yard and Nadia Williams, Lamb’s Yacht Center who will share their perspectives on the future of boatbuilding and repair,” Pam Lendzion, ABBRA’s Executive Director said.
