United Yacht Sales reports strong sales growth in 2018

United Yacht Sales, a professional yacht brokerage firm with more than 150 yacht brokers worldwide, reported that sales increased more than 40 percent in 2018. United attributed the growth to an overall strong stock market along with increased marketing efforts and multiple new brokers coming on board.

“We had a very good year,” said Peter Schmidt, owner and CEO of United Yacht Sales. “We re-branded our company this year to better relate to all of the different markets our 25+ offices are in from South Florida to the Northeast, Canada, and across the world. The increase in marketing helped us attract a lot of new brokers that were also interested in our industry-leading commission structure and support team. Combine those factors with a strong economy and we end up selling a lot of yachts. We have a strong momentum going into 2019 as well.”

United Yacht Sales sold just under 500 boats and yachts in 2018, highlighted by the sale of a 2011/2014 Benetti 197-foot motor yacht.
