Basta Boatlifts is sold to Bryce and Linnea Hansen

Basta Boatlifts was acquired by Bryce and Linnea Hansen of Shoreline Wash. on Nov. 30, 2018.

Basta Boatlifts produces hand-crafted hydraulic boat lifts, seaplane lifts and PWC lifts. Its product line includes fabrication in both proprietary aluminum and galvanized steel.

“My wife and I are honored to carry on the legacy of Sam Basta and Basta Boatlifts.  We look forward to continuing industry leading innovation and excellent customer service, and growing our presence throughout North America,” Hansen said.

All employees and operations will remain at the Bellevue headquarters with Derek Hunter continuing as general manager.

Founder Sam Basta is currently a deacon and pastoral coordinator at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bellevue, Wash. Basta will remain working with the company as a consultant.

“I am thankful for my customers and colleagues in the industry over the last 35 years, it has been a great journey. I am leaving Basta Boatlifts the capable hands, Bryce Hanson is a great fit to further the potential of the company,” Basta said.
