RBFF fishing, boat license widget simplifies buying
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation has announced a new fishing license and boat registration tool that’s available to all stakeholders.
The tool is embeddable on stakeholder websites, bringing essential license and registration information straight to consumers.
“For many consumers, the license and registration process can be intimidating,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “That’s why we created this simple-to-use widget. We see any step to simplifying the process to be critical to increasing the number of licensed anglers and registered boats on the water, ultimately pushing us closer to 60 in 60.”
On any website where the tool is embedded, users can click on their state on the map or select it from a dropdown menu and be taken directly to the proper destination on the corresponding state agency website. From here, users can easily complete their license purchase or register their boat.
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service and others have already implemented the widget on their own sites. RBFF is encouraging all stakeholders to embed this widget on their websites, right where consumers are already learning about fishing and boating and looking to purchase products.
