MIBS partners with RaftUp Technologies for enhanced transportation opportunities

The Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show and RaftUp Technologies have reached a partnership agreement for the 2019 Miami International Boat Show to enhance attendees’ experience when getting to and from the show.

RaftUp is providing an app – Progressive® Insurance Miami International Boat Show Connections – and onsite transportation enhancements, including digital screens, which will display real-time arrival and departure updates for the boat show’s expanded water taxi services, in addition to schedule information on shuttle bus routes. The new, conveniently available information will better allow attendees and exhibitors to plan their time at the show.

“We’re excited to work with RaftUp Technologies to enhance communication with attendees and exhibitors and simultaneously improve the transportation experience—making it easier than ever to plan a day at the show,” said Larry Berryman, boat show director. “In the coming months we’ll be unveiling a number of transportation developments as we continue to evolve the show and deliver the world-class experience our attendees and exhibitors count on. Our partnership with RaftUp is one small but important component to making getting to and from the show convenient.”

RaftUp’s solution, which includes a custom app overlay and onsite screens tied to location-based tracking technology, will provide boat show attendees and exhibitors with minute-by-minute updates on water taxi departure and arrival times and information on shuttle bus routes. What’s more, with the Miami Yacht Show’s move to Miami from Miami Beach, RaftUp’s technology will be available for the water taxis and shuttle buses running between the Miami Yacht Show and the Miami International Boat Show. RaftUp will be staffing a communications control center onsite at the Miami Boat Show and will be on-hand at key locations throughout the show to answer questions on using the technology.

“We want to help attendees spend more time enjoying the show, and less time figuring out what time their water taxi is arriving or where to pick up the next shuttle bus,” said Corey Boelkens, RaftUp founder and CEO. “RaftUp is going to improve communication and enhance the show experience from beginning to end.”

The Progressive® Insurance Miami International Boat Show Connections app will be available to download at MiamiBoatShow.com in early December.
