MarineMax names new Florida operations manager

MarineMax recently named Philip Davidson as its North Central Florida operations manager overseeing the continued growth of sales and customer service at MarineMax Orlando, along with other stores and future stores in this area.

“Over the years, I have learned so much from my previous experiences. I look forward to sharing this and continuing to learn from those around me. In addition, I believe that ultimate success comes from exceptional communication and will strive for these results with our MarineMax team,” Davidson said.

Davidson has experience in every facet of the recreational industry. As a 14-year-old, he started his career in a large powersports dealership working his way up from parts gopher to ultimately holding the role of general manager after graduating from college with bachelor’s degrees in marketing and business management from Northwood University.

During the same period, Davidson started an amateur Jet Ski racing career that culminated as a Top 10 globally ranked professional. He then went on to work for a major recreational products manufacturer in network distribution and development.

Davidson held these roles in the U.S. and overseas with management responsibilities of sales, network development, and government sales.

He then went on to an executive career with a large marine manufacturer where he was able to assist in the development of future product and developing sales and marketing programs to enhance relationship with the respective sales/dealer network.

“Phil’s determination and passion for the boating industry will surely make him successful in this new position. I look forward to the success that he brings to MarineMax,” said Kyle Langbehn, vice president of operations.
