Informa Exhibitions appoints U.S. boat shows vice president of marketing

Informa Exhibitions has announced the appointment of Lana F. Bernstein as vice president of marketing for the company’s U.S. boat shows.

Bernstein will lead global marketing initiatives for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Miami Yacht Show and Palm Beach International Boat Show – three of the world’s largest in-water boat shows – as well as the St. Petersburg Boat Show and Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota.

With more than 20 years of experience in the luxury lifestyle and celebrity public relations and integrated marketing fields, Bernstein has earned a reputation for creating ROI-driven marketing initiatives and fostering dynamic relationships between consumers and premier brands.

At Informa, she will work across multi-media platforms to broaden interest among new audiences, create innovative guest journeys, deepen the exhibitor experience and develop partnerships among like-minded enterprises.

“As the global leader in world-class exhibitions, Informa has blazed a trail with its five must-attend boat and yacht shows by focusing on deepening its connectivity with marine manufacturers, exhibitors, seafaring enthusiasts and guests, and enhancing their passion for the events,” Bernstein said. “The brand represents the ultimate experience for nautical aficionados and is the leading marketplace for the industry’s most coveted products. I am thrilled to be joining this extraordinary company at such a pivotal time, as Informa continues to shape the future of immersive content and live event experiences.”

Bernstein previously served as vice president of public relations and marketing for Modern Luxury Media, the largest luxury, regional publishing company in the U.S. with 84 magazine titles in 24 cities across the nation.

Her prior experience includes serving as vice president of public relations and marketing for Greengale Publishing (formerly Niche Media), a lifestyle publishing company focused on luxury, city-specific publishing for 11 cities in the U.S.

Beginning her career in the music industry prior to moving into the media sector, Bernstein has launched media properties and established major initiatives in Austin, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and South Florida. She created and produced some of the most notable events for the 2007 and 2010 Super Bowls as well as developed and implemented countless programmatic event tours across the country.

“Our U.S. International Boat Shows are rated among the world’s most prestigious exhibitions,” said Informa U.S. Boat Shows SVP and COO Andrew Doole. “As we continue to expand, we must innovate and invest in content and new initiatives to reflect these new business priorities, and Lana has the creative vision and passion for content creation. Her success building user experiences and her omni-channel approach to brand amplification, combined with her unique ability to ignite change, will strengthen our platforms and further position our shows as must-attend attractions.”
