Power Products Marine Solutions offers educational opportunities at IBEX 2018
Power Products Marine Solutions will be presenting several informational seminars at IBEX 2018, which runs from Oct. 2-4 in Tampa, Fla.
On Monday, Oct. 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a CZone Level 1 Certification Training, where participants will gain a working knowledge of CZone Digital Switching and Monitoring. The Level 1 CZone certification course will provide an in-depth review of CZone components and instruction for system installation, offer hands-on experience with components, provide a demonstration of the CZone Configuration Tool as well as offer an overview on system troubleshooting, software firmware updates and parts replacement.
As a prerequisite, participants have to have completed ABYC Marine Electrical Certification or NMEA 2000 Basic Certification. There is a fee of $55 for the training. The class is limited to 20 students. Visit the IBEX website for registration information.
On Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m., Mastervolt will be hosting a Tech Talk in the the Tech Talk Theater.
The topic of the presentation will be “Replacing Your Generator with Lithium Ion Batteries.” Lithium Ion batteries are becoming an efficient, green alternative to standard generators. Learn how Li-ion battery based systems can reduce weight and cost, while still providing the power you need for all of the loads on the boat.
On Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 2:00-3:00 in the Tech Talk Theater, CZone will be hosting a Tech Talk titled, “Digital Control and Monitoring for Smaller Boats.” A common misconception is that digital switching is only suitable for large, offshore boats with many loads. Find out how CZone is developing performance enhancing digital control systems for smaller boats such as pontoons, ski boats, and fishing boats.
