Correct Craft’s Watershed Innovations partners with Torqeedo, SeaDek

Watershed Innovations, a Correct Craft technology initiative, has added Torqeedo and SeaDek as two new partners on the project that Watershed previously announced with the University of Central Florida (UCF) to build an ultra-quiet aluminum fishing boat with electric propulsion.

Watershed has now partnered with SeaArk Boats, Torqeedo, and SeaDek, and UCF’s Senior Design Project Program. Each partner will play a vital role in the project.

Founded earlier this year, Watershed Innovations is focused on identifying, researching, developing and integrating exponential technologies to benefit Correct Craft, its subsidiaries and the marine industry.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Watershed Innovations. I know that SeaDek will provide the noise reducing qualities that the Watershed and UCF engineering team are looking for to develop one of the industry’s most quiet aluminum fishing boats,” stated President and CEO of SeaDek Kurt Wilson.

“We are pleased to team up with Watershed Innovations and these forward-thinking university students,” stated Torqeedo’s CEO Christoph Ballin. “Electric boat drives offer many advantages, including noise and pollution reduction. We’re excited to see what these future leaders create.”

Adding SeaDek and Torqeedo to the fully electric aluminum fishing boat project with UCF is a perfect fit for Watershed Innovations, said Correct Craft President and CEO Bill Yeargin.

“We are excited to begin shaping the future with them,” Yeargin added. “Both SeaDek and Torqeedo will add great value to this project and we are so glad that they have come on board. “Our Correct Craft team is committed to partnering with innovative organizations that will help us deliver the industry’s most innovative products.  Partnerships are a key part of our innovation strategy and we are happy that there are many who want to join us on this exciting journey.”
