Navico appoints new Americas senior vice president, COO

Navico, parent company to the Lowrance, Simrad, B&G and C-MAP brands, has announced Jamie Elgie has been appointed to the position of senior vice president and chief operating office of the Americas.

In his new role, Elgie will be responsible for all sales, marketing and operations activities for the Lowrance, Simrad, B&G and C-MAP brands throughout North, Central and South America.

“With our rapidly expanded product portfolio as well as recent mergers and acquisitions, there has never been a more exciting time to help lead the Navico team,” Elgie said. “I look forward to taking on Navico’s operational responsibilities and working closely with our customers and employees to maximize our success.”

Elgie came to Navico from Wilson Electronics, a manufacturer and marketer of cellular infrastructure equipment based in Utah, where he served as chief marketing officer.

Prior to this post, he spent 10 years at Belkin International where he led the iPhone, iPad and iPod accessories division, launched the company’s WeMo home automation line, and led the digital marketing and customer care organizations.

He began his career at Procter and Gamble in brand management. Elgie is married with four children and currently lives in Merrimack, NH.
