Nautical Ventures Group announces U.S. debut of Brabus Shadow 800 tender

South Florida-based Nautical Ventures Group has been chosen as the exclusive North American dealer for the new limited-edition Brabus Shadow 800, a 37-foot tender produced by Finnish boat builder Axopar Boats and German automotive engineering company and car manufacturer Brabus under an alliance agreement.

Out of the limited 20 hand-made models that will be produced, two are heading to the U.S. market by way of Nautical Ventures in Dania Beach, Fla. with availability starting this August. Nautical Ventures is currently the No. 1 Axopar dealer worldwide.

“This boat was designed for a select group of boat owners, some of whom may have already had previous experience via the Brabus automotive brand. We are thrilled they chose us to be their North American dealer,” said Nautical Ventures CEO Roger Moore.

Brabus GmbH, founded 1977 in Bottrop (Ruhr Area), Germany, is a high-performance aftermarket tuning company which specializes in Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Tesla and Maybach vehicles. The company is a recognized world leader in luxury and performance car optimization, with 40 years’ experience.

Axopar Boats COO Jan-Erik Viitala described the new boat as a “hyper-quick, hyper-exciting tender”, a “go-anywhere” support boat for owners of large yachts and superyachts.

“The name Shadow was chosen to reflect the fact that the Shadow 800 will often be the second boat to a much larger owned yacht,” Viitala said.

According to Nautical Ventures Group Director of Marketing Frank Ferraro, the new boat will be priced in the $500,000 range and include a number of popular options. The new tender will be powered by twin, 400-horsepower Mercury Verado 400R engines and have a maximum speed range of 50 knots-plus.
