Congressional leader holds Smoker Craft townhall meeting

The National Marine Manufacturers Association worked hard to ensure that the codified 2017 Tax Reform Package benefited our members, their employees and the boating industry at large.

Last week, the industry association saw that success come to fruition when Smoker Craft passed on those tax benefits directly to its employees through bonuses and raises during a company-wide meeting attended by more than 600 employees.

Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Indiana) held a townhall meeting at Smoker Craft and discussed how she worked hard to ensure that through this bill, every employer was part of the “American Dream.”

Not only did she join in the announcement, she toured and visited the facility as manufacturing is a significant part of her district and she is an avid boater.

Walorski sits on the Ways and Means Committee and was instrumental in the Tax Reform Package passing Congress.
