Ohio marina joins OneWater Marine dealership collection

Spend-A-Day Marina of Russells Point, Ohio, has joined Atlanta-based OneWater Marine’s growing collection of dealerships.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Spend-A-Day was founded in 1950 and had 2017 total revenues approaching $20 million. Jim and Roseann Reed and their team will continue to lead the day-to-day operations under the Spend-A-Day Marina name.

“We are excited to welcome Spend-a-Day Marina to our portfolio as we continue to focus on adding freshwater marinas,” said Austin Singleton, CEO of OneWater Marine Holdings. “As a 5-Star Certified Marine Dealer, they have proven to be a market-leader with a stellar reputation for customer service. We look forward to their contribution in our on-going growth.”

Spend-A-Day offers Bennington, JC and Godfrey pontoons, Yamaha Sport Boats and Watercraft, and Sea Ray sport boats, as well as Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, and Honda outboard sales and service.

No one has made a greater impact in the industry over the last few years than OneWater Marine, Reed said. “Working with their transition team has been impressive. The support they’ve provided through this process has been great, and we look forward to their help in growing the Spend-A-Day customer experience, and organization as a whole.”

Spend-A-Day Marina will continue to operate its sales, service, and resort community from its current location on Indian Lake in Russells Point, Ohio, OneWater Marine stated in a news release.

  1. OnWater Marine is a Class Act but they will have their work cut out for them trying to continue the standard of sales presentation and customer service that Jim and Rosann have established. Where they have taken Spend-A-Day would surely have Bill Reed smiling. I am proud to have worked for all of them.
