Navico creates executive position to address boat builder expectations

Navico, parent company to the Lowrance, Simrad, and B&G brands, has appointed Matt Vranich to the position of executive vice president – OEM Integration Group.

Vranich will head a global company division that addresses rising expectations from Navico’s boat-building partners – regarding full system solutions that include integration, connectivity and tier-one supplier support.

The OEM Integration Group now includes more than 60 professionals consisting of project managers, boat builder product managers, the sales team and system integrators – all of whom now report to Vranich.

“Boaters want an easy ownership experience, and to deliver a complete package our boat-building partners are shifting focus toward designing fully integrated vessels,” said Navico CEO Leif Ottosson. “Having a talented team in place from the beginning of the design process is key to providing the best product. With his extensive industry experience on a global scale, Matt is clearly the right person to drive this new team to the benefit of our partners and, ultimately, the consumer.”

Vranich joined Navico in 2013 as director of OEM sales for the boat-building market in the Americas, in addition to leading recreational sales efforts in Latin America.

Prior to that, he spent six years with the Brunswick Boat Group in various sales, marketing and business development roles in Europe and the Americas.

Vranich’s background also includes time in the telecommunications and banking industries, where he held general management and consulting positions in Brazil and India. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and resides in New Hampshire with his wife, Erika, and their two children.
