Volvo Penta facility visited by Virginia state lawmaker

Virginia Delegate Jay Leftwich, a Republican from the city of Chesapeake, Va., recently visited National Marine Manufacturing Association member Volvo Penta’s facility and hosted a town hall meeting.

Leftwich spoke with Volvo employees about jobs, workforce development, and education, and answered questions on other topics during his visit.

NMMA was on hand for the visit and worked to educate Delegate Leftwich on the role of the recreational marine industry in the community and across the country.

NMMA encourages its members to engage in advocacy by inviting a local member of Congress or state representative to your facility or plant to learn more about the impact of the recreational boating industry.
