BoatPAC exceeds 2017 contributions goal

The NMMA and MRAA BoatPAC  have exceeded their 2017 contributions goal of $150,000, raising almost $154,000 from 312 contributors.

With this support, NMMA and MRAA tackled important issues on Capitol Hill while advocating on behalf of the recreational boating industry, said NMMA President Thom Dammrich.

“We made a lot of progress in 2017 and the people in our industry who contributed should feel very proud of their commitment to recreational boating,” Dammrich said. “Last year’s goal was a good step forward in our advocacy efforts and in 2018 our goal for BoatPAC is $200,000 — which gets us closer to a level we really need to be at for an industry of our size which is $250,000.”

A number of industry companies stepped up and signed for payroll deduction to support BoatPAC’s efforts: Beneteau, BRP, Chaparral Boats, Chris-Craft, Cobalt Boats, Formula Boats, Grady White, HydroHoist, International Marina Group, Intrepid, Maverick Boats, MRAA, NMMA, Navico, NorCross Marine, Regulator Marine, SeaStar Solutions, and Scout Boats.

In addition to the companies participating in payroll deduction, a number of companies stepped up as BoatPAC corporate sponsors including BRP, Cobalt Boats, Enovation Controls, Evinrude, HydroHoist, International Yacht Brokers Association, Manion, Gaynor and Manning, LLP, SeaDoo, Sea Star Solutions, SeaTow, SureShade and Yamaha Marine.
