Marine industry participating in nationwide manufacturing day
This Friday, Oct, 6, is Manufacturing Day, a nationally recognized day that will be celebrated throughout the month of October.
Nearly 2,500 manufacturers from around the U.S. are already registered. Events can be held any day in October. The day is designed you to help bring attention to the careers and career paths in marine manufacturing and the positive economic impacts of recreational boating has on the local community.
Boat, engine and marine accessory manufacturers are participating in the event. Some of the marine companies already signed up include Yamaha Marine, Centurion and Supreme Boats, and Malibu Boats.
Example of events include: Invite a local high school to tour your facility, invite employee families and friends to tour your plant and offer lunch, or partner with the local chamber of commerce or economic development agency for an economic showcase event.
