John Clarke named Marine Accessories Corporation president
Marine Accessories Corporation has promoted John Clarke to the newly created position of president – MAC Direct. In this role, Clarke will collaborate with the existing MAC executive team in the development and execution of the parent company’s strategic goals – including leveraging and expanding MAC’s drop shipping capabilities from the manufacturer to the customer. He will be specifically responsible for targeting more direct distribution channels through its portfolio of aftermarket marine canvas, tower brands and towing products. Headquartered in Maryville, Tennessee, MAC Direct brands include Monster Tower, TurboSwing, Fishmaster and Westland Industries.
“In addition to more than 30 years of exceptional sales and marketing experience, John’s engineering background gives him the ability to look at organizational strategy and tactics holistically,” said Rick Reyenger, MAC’s chief executive officer. “He has hands on experience in virtually all facets of business including new product development, engineering, logistics, global sourcing and manufacturing. That gives us a huge advantage when it comes to developing the right product for distribution through MAC Direct channels.”
Clarke joined MAC in January of 2017 as its vice president of sales and marketing with additional responsibility for new business development. He has since spearheaded the acquisition and integration of Fishmaster folding T-tops and launched new websites for several of the MAC Direct brands.

MAC is owned by members of its management team, and Blue Sage Capital, a private equity firm based in Austin, Texas and Resolute Capital, a private mezzanine debt and equity investment firm based in Chattanooga and Nashville, Tenn.
