Denison Yacht Sales opens Connecticut office

Denison Yacht Sales has opened its 24th office, located in Southport, Conn., a suburb of Fairfield. The office is Denison’s fourth in New England.

Denison’s Connecticut office will be led by Ted Lahey, a yacht broker who has spent his entire career in the marine and yachting industry, including with The Hinckley Co. and over 20 years as the owner of Essex Boat Works.

“I’m very excited to join the team and help expand Denison’s footprint and bring its cutting-edge marketing capabilities to the New York and New England area,” said Lahey, who specializes in sailboats, trawlers and Downeast boats.

Denison will represent Hatteras at the Connecticut office, which is at 411 Pequot Avenue. Denison also has New England offices in Jersey City, N.J.; Montauk, N.Y.; and Newport, R.I.

The town of Southport is a small Colonial-era town. Southport Harbor is located five miles southwest of Bridgeport and almost seven miles east of Norwalk off Long Island Sound.

Boating facilities in Southport Harbor include the Pequot Yacht Club and two public marinas.
