Guy Harvey will provide official merchandise at 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
Renowned marine artist, conservationist, scientist and angler Guy Harvey will provide official merchandise at 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
An exclusive Guy Harvey design for FLIBS 2017 will be unveiled before the Nov. 1 to Nov. 5 show. Tickets can be purchased at FLIBS.com.
Harvey started his career as an artist selling T-shirts at FLIBS 31 years ago. His childhood passion for the ocean and its living creatures not only inspired him to draw, but fueled a burning interest that prompted a formal education in marine science.
Harvey graduated with honors in marine biology from Aberdeen University in Scotland in 1977. He returned home to Jamaica to resume his education, earning his Ph.D. from the University of the West Indies in 1984.
“The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show holds a special place in my heart, as it helped to launch my career as an artist and has allowed me to be in the public eye ever since,” said Harvey. “I’m honored to see my art used for this year’s official souvenir merchandise and hope to continue our professional relationship for years to come.”
Fans will be able to purchase short-sleeved cotton t-shirts, long-sleeved performance shirts, posters, drinkware and other merchandise featuring the official design.
