Suntex Marinas acquires Lake Don Pedro and Moccasin Point Marinas

Suntex Marina Investors LLC announced that it has acquired two new locations on Don Pedro Lake – Lake Don Pedro Marina and Moccasin Point Marina.

Don Pedro Lake is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, a two-hour drive from San Francisco. Lake Don Pedro Marina, on the Western shore of the lake, is a full-service facility that can provide everything needed from fuel and fishing tackle to hats, souvenirs and meals for tourists embarking on a houseboat or fishing getaway. The marina includes houseboat rentals – with houseboats ranging from 50 to 70 feet; ski boat, personal watercraft and fishing boat rentals; boat slips and dry storage; a repair shop; and a cafe and convenience store. Moccasin Point Marina is located on the Eastern shore of the lake and offers watercraft rentals – including kayaks and paddleboards, slip rentals, limited food and beverage available and a convenience store.

Don Pedro Lake reservoir is situated in a canyon carved out by the Tuolumne River with several tributaries draining directly into the lake allowing the water levels to remain high as well as providing comfortable water temperatures in the summer months. Boating and water sports of all types are popular across the lake including houseboat rentals and fishing year-round. With nearly 160 miles of shoreline and nearly 13,000 surface-acres of water, Don Pedro Lake is the sixth largest reservoir in California. The reservoir is owned by Turlock Irrigation District and Modesto Irrigation District and operated by the Don Pedro Recreation Agency.
