Industry mourns former Centek owner Warren H. Kaye

Warren H. Kaye, the former owner, president & CEO of Centek Industries, died June 23 after a brief illness. He was 76.

After a long and successful business and teaching career, Warren purchased Vernay Products in 1994 and changed the name to Centek Industries. Over the next 13 years, Warren built the Georgia-based company into a successful manufacturer of marine exhaust systems. He sold the company to the current management team in 2007.

Warren is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary Jayne Kaye, two daughters and four grandchildren. His life was celebrated privately by his family and friends.
