West Marine relaunches Waterlife station on Pandora Radio with contest

West Marine announced the relaunch of its Waterlife station on Pandora Radio. Water enthusiasts everywhere are invited to tune in and spend time listening to a selection of music that speaks to good times and having fun on the water.

West Marine’s Pandora Waterlife Radio station features a mix of music with broad appeal to people that enjoy recreating on and around the water — from a group of more than 100 popular artists that includes Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffet, Sheryl Crow, The Eagles, Jack Johnson, Brad Paisley, Bob Marley, The Beach Boys and dozens more.

A refreshed playlist will be available in early May and to celebrate the station’s relaunch, West Marine is asking for listeners to recommend their favorite boating and waterlife songs through an exclusive contest that kicks off May 1. One lucky participant will receive a $200 West Marine gift card, plus a Pandora swag prize package. Official rules can be found at www.westmarine.com/pandora. The contest runs May 1-31.

“All of us at West Marine were delightfully surprised to see how many of our customers and Pandora users sought out our station,” says Audrey Broxterman, West Marine divisional vice president of marketing. “Pandora’s music creation team managed to create the perfect playlist for any water-based activity and we’re eager to see what songs will be suggested by fans in our new, exclusive contest.”

“Pandora listeners have really embraced West Marine Waterlife Radio,” says Justin Chimienti, senior sales executive at Pandora. “The proof is in the numbers, where there are tens of thousands of listeners enjoying the station.”
