Scott Lane Boat Builders wins SureShade 2016 Dealer of the Year award

SureShade, the U.S. designer and manufacturer of patented retractable sunshade systems for the marine industry, announced that Scott Lane Boat Builders in New Zealand has won the SureShade 2016 Dealer of the Year award. SureShade chose Scott Lane Boat Builders for its outstanding sales and service of SureShade sunshade systems throughout 2016.

The SureShade Dealer Award and Recognition program is designed to formally recognize top boat dealers for their sales and service efforts throughout the year. Boat dealer performance is evaluated throughout the year on the criteria of sales performance, installation expertise, customer service, co-marketing efforts and private boat owner feedback.

Scott Lane Boat Builders has established a unique relationship with SureShade acting as both a boatbuilder equipping their custom built yachts with SureShade’s sunshade systems as well as a sales distributor promoting SureShade installations in the New Zealand boating market.

The first boat built by Scott Lane featuring SureShade is their new Zagato Elite Sedan, a 13.5-meter (44-foot) coupe style yacht customized with family-friendly features. The Zagato features SureShade’s ATF Automated Shade seamlessly integrated at their factory so that the shade completely disappears into the boat’s cabin top.

As sales distributors, Scott Lane has provided marketing support promoting American-made SureShade products in the New Zealand boating market by securing feature editorial, photography and video reviews in the country’s top boating publications.

According to a Sept. 2016 recreational boating study by Maritime New Zealand, 51 percent of New Zealanders are involved with boating activities. SureShade says the country’s affinity for boating, along with its warm and sunny climate, makes New Zealand an attractive market for the company’s sunshade solutions.
