Hyde Sails seeks U.S., Canadian dealers

Hyde Sails is looking for dealers in New England, the Carolinas, Great Lakes, Pacific North West, British Columbia, Quebec and Nova Scotia. New dealers do not have to be existing sail makers.

“I have found that some our best dealers have been riggers and technical retailers,” said Luke Yeates, who manages the company’s U.S. dealers. “Companies who have a good list of retail clients, technical knowledge, and fast efficient customer service often do well supplying new sails. But of course the existing skills of sailmaker dealers is welcomed also.”

Hyde Sails has making sails for racing sailboats for 50 years and in the last 30 years the company has expanded into cruising and racing yachts. Hyde Sails has been manufacturing in the Philippines for the last 15 years. The loft is run by ex-pat UK sailmakers and has 230 locally based staff employed on a loft floor of 6000 square meters. UK-based sales, technical and design staff support the production facility.

Hyde Sails said it also offers the use of an online quoting/ordering program, assistance with marketing budgets, sample kits and tools, head office/factory sales, as well as after sales support available 20 hours per day.
