Dealer same-store sales up 6.9 percent in February

Editor’s Note 3/15/17: After this story was published, CDK issued an updated report, correcting the February same-store sales numbers. The corrected information appears below.

Boat dealers had a good month in February, as same-store sales were up 6.9 percent from the same month in 2016.

That’s according to the latest report from CDK Global Recreation, which is based on data from users of the company’s Lightspeed software.

All categories were up this month, with particularly strong parts and accessories sales.

Parts and accessories sales were up 15.8 percent from the previous year. Unit sales were up 7.3 percent and service department sales were up 4.4 percent.

February’s same-store sales follows reports of strong boat show attendance across the country in early 2017.
