Ranger Boats debuts 2260 Bay Ranger at MIBS

Ranger Boats’s latest offering from its Saltwater Series – the 2260 Bay Ranger – will debut at the 2017 Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 16-20, at Miami Marine Stadium Park and Basin.

While the 21-foot, five-inch bay boat is the smallest offering of the Ranger Saltwater Series, the company says its enhanced design delivers big-water capabilities. Rated for a 200 horsepower outboard, the 2260 Bay Ranger is designed to provide high performance with smaller horsepower motors and is more maneuverable than larger rigs. And like all Ranger models, the 2260 Bay Ranger is available with factory-rigged outboards.

“The 2260 Bay Ranger gives boaters Ranger’s high-quality performance and features at an entry-level price,” said Ranger Saltwater Business Manager Larry Jett. “Whether chasing redfish in the shallows or heading out off-shore, the 2260 delivers more value with the tradition of quality craftsmanship Ranger owners have come to expect.”

The center console design and non-skid pattern on flooring and decks provide a 360-degree casting platform to work fish end-to-end or side-to-side. Able to draft in as little as 12 inches of water, the 2260 Bay Ranger sports a 101-inch beam and Ranger’s upright, level floatation standards.

Standard features include a pultruded fiberglass transom, fiberglass stringer system, aerated livewell, custom-fitted premium marine upholstery, leaning post, stainless steel tie cleats and automatic bilge pump. At the console, a host of gauges display speed, rpm, fuel, trim and water pressure levels. Rod holders adorn each side of the console for quick access to fishing gear.

The front casting deck, with molded-in steps, doubles as anchor locker along with port and starboard rod boxes for rods up to eight feet. Molded-in rear jump seats fold down for a back casting deck and give access to a boarding ladder.

The new 2260 Bay Ranger comes paired with its own single-axle trailer. Equipped with aluminum steel fenders, the trailer includes an aluminum frame, torsion axle suspension, locking, swing-away tongue, L.E.D. lights, aluminum wheels, a patented center swing jack stand, and Ranger’s COOL Hub lubrication system as standard equipment.

Miami International Boat Show attendees can see the new 2260 Bay Ranger at the Ranger Boats at booth B205.
