IMBC details plans for 2017 Field Trip

The International Marina & Boatyard Conference has announced that the 2017 IMBC field trip will be by boat.

The annual field trip will be 1:30-3:30 p.m. January 25. IMBC is January 25-27 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

IMBC attendees will have a chance to join a tour by boat of five Fort Lauderdale marinas and downtown Fort Lauderdale. The boat trip takes attendees by:

  • Bahia Mar Yachting Center
  • Hall of Fame Marina
  • Las Olas Marina
  • Lauderdale Marine Center
  • Pier Sixty-Six Marina

The field trip will be guided by Carl F. Wolf, CMM. Wolf is the director of business services for Marina Management Services, Inc. which specializes in marina operations, site assessments and facility development.”

Working with the International Marina Institute (IMI, an arm of the Association of Marina Industries) and the Docks and Marinas (a class offered by the University of Wisconsin), Wolf has been an instructor and a speaker on numerous occasions on marina operations.

Wolf is a charter member Certified Marina Manager and has also taught a number of times at the IMI’s Advanced Marina Management program, which is a prerequisite for the CMM certification. He is one of the co-authors of the IMI’s first edition of the Marina Operations Manual, a standard in the marina industry. Most recently, he has authored the new Marina Policy Manual.
