Same-store boat dealer sales jump in November

Same-store boat dealer sales were up for the fourth month in a row in November.

Overall, sales were up 14.5 percent for the month compared to November 2015, with sales increasing across all categories. That’s according to the latest report from CDK Global Recreation, which is based on data from users of the company’s Lightspeed software.

That followed a 0.5 percent gain in October and double-digit increases in August and September.

Unit sales were up 16.3 percent for the month, posting their largest gains since February 2016. Parts and accessories sales were particularly strong, with sales up 20 percent in November, the strongest mark in more than 5 years.

Service department revenue was also up, increasing 9.8 percent over 2015. It was the fifth month in a row service revenue increased and the biggest jump since February 2016.
