Orlando Watersports Complex hosts “Sup With A Cop Day”

This past Saturday, Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC) hosted “SUP with a Cop Day” benefitting Urban Surf 4 Kids, a unique outreach organization that works with orphan and foster kids.

Approximately 50 kids, volunteers, and local law enforcement came together to bridge community relationships through stand up paddleboarding (SUP) at the OWC facility. The event offered free SUP lessons for kids, a SUP Expo and a Meet and Greet with the Orange County Fire Authority, who brought out their fire engine (with lights flashing and sirens blaring) for all the kids to see.

Wesley Stewart, founder of Urban Surf 4 Kids, said, “It’s been such a great experience to work with OWC. The empowerment of our foster youth through these events is nothing short of life changing. Together, we are bridging the gaps to make a lasting impact.”

“Our OWC team was thrilled to host this unique event that builds relationships and trust in our community,” said Bill Yeargin, CEO of Correct Craft (owner of Aktion Parks). “Our primary focus at our Correct Craft companies is ‘Making Life Better’ and we are happy to use our OWC facility for this wonderful event!”
