39th annual St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show scheduled for December
The 39th annual St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show will be held from Thursday, Dec. 1 to Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Albert Whitted Park and Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin
In St. Petersburg, Fla. The show is the largest in-water boat show on the Gulf Coast.
The show will display hundreds of power boats and sailboats in water and on land, including family cruisers, runabouts, fishing boats, sailing yachts and personal watercraft. The show also includes a 40,000-square-foot exhibit tent housing all types of marine gear.
Organizers of the show said the 2016 show will be “larger than ever,” with more than 50 additional boats and 3,750 square feet of exhibit space.
Educational activities and special events include boating seminars and youth fishing clinics presented by non-profit Hook The Future, musical entertainment, and a variety of food and refreshments.
Onsite parking is available at municipal parking garages surrounding the show’s grounds. The St. Petersburg Trolley Downtown Looper route offers convenient stops on First Street near the Mahaffey Theater.
