Clipper Motor Yachts partners with Facheris Design

Australian owned and Gold Coast based Clipper Motor Yachts has partnered with internationally recognized designer Facheris Design to undertake designs of its Clipper model range beginning with the latest Hudson Bay 54.

Facheris Design Studio, based in Florida, has more than 30 years industry experience and is known for its luxury design work.

“To have Patrizio and his team agree to come onboard and work with us on the new range of Hudson Bay motor yachts initially and then the remainder of the Clipper range is a major coupe for us,” said Clipper Managing Director Brett Thurley.

“Patrizio is the epitome of Italian design flair and has been working with U.S. and European companies for more than 20 years so his expertise, passion for elegance in design and ability to achieve excellence is well recorded.”

“We have put a great deal of time and effort into the new generation of Hudson Bay vessels and we are confident that these semi displacement, one level entertaining sedan cruisers will resonate with the serious boat buying market here in Australia and internationally,” he added.

Facheris Design’s influence will permeate the rest of the sedan range with the 35, 39 and 50 also following the 54’s lead.

“To have Patrizio and his team join us on this journey to produce world class, blue water cruising motor yachts is extremely exciting,” said Thurley. “Feedback from the market is to build luxurious, stylish and modern interiors for the Australian boating lifestyle so we will deliver on that. The first of the new generation Hudson Bay cruisers will be here in Australia in June 2017.”

“Facheris Design is delighted to be expanding its wings into this market,” Facheris said. “Clipper Motor Yachts offers a great opportunity to collaborate in the development and design of new products with a modern interpretation of a traditional heritage that will appeal to a whole new range of customers.”

According to Thurley, the stable of new generation Hudson Bay cruisers, which will stretch up to 64 foot, evolved after a period of international research, sea trialing and a review of the design, look and feel of the traditional ‘lobster boat’ style of cruiser.

“We have managed to combine some heritage styling with classic lines in a contemporary apartment style interior designed as an entertainer,” he said.

“We wanted big volume, style, performance, superb sea keeping ability and high quality construction and finish and this new range delivers that and more,” Thurley said. “Now we have added Italian design flair so the package is without peer.”
