Wisconsin Marine Association to host conference on marine business issues and opportunities

The Wisconsin Marine Association (WMA) invites marina operators and all marine businesses to attend “Sharing Solutions & Building Success,” a two-day conference Nov. 2 and 3 in Wausau, Wis, featuring expert presentations, discussions, networking opportunities and vendor exhibits.

Speakers will address critical issues for marine businesses: hiiring and retaining tech employees, E15 fuel and its effect on marine engines, strategies for improving marine retail stores, building marina resilience to storms, digital marketing channels, preparing for OSHA inspections, dealing with hazardous materials, Wisconsin Clean Marina topics and more.

“We’re very excited to offer quality content presented by industry leaders including Mercury Marine, MYMIC Training Technologies, SkipperBud’s, ARI Network Services, Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA), West Marine Pro, KPA, Wisconsin Clean Marina, WDNR and UW Sea Grant,” said Jon Kukuk, president of the WMA and owner of Nestegg Marine in Marinette, Wis. “This will be a great idea exchange for marine businesses.”
