Lund and Crestliner celebrate 2 million hour manufacturing safety milestone

Brunswick New York Mills operation, home of Lund and Crestliner, has surpassed 2 million hours of manufacturing without a lost-time accident at its New York Mills, Minn., boat manufacturing facility.

The milestone, reached on June 27, 2016, is being recognized in a celebration of gifts presented to the more than 600 employees at the facility.

“This mark is a significant achievement for the entire Lund and Crestliner team,” said Brian Hines, vice president of operations. “Brunswick believes a strong culture of safety helps to create a team of highly engaged employees that drives superior levels of quality, productivity and pride in craftsmanship. I congratulate our team and appreciate all the efforts that have gone into this milestone accomplishment.”

Roger Cullen, safety manager, agrees. “In a manufacturing environment that deals extensively in fabrication of sheet aluminum, protecting our employee well-being and safety is the absolute number one priority for us. Our safety programs are extensive and include weekly safety improvement meetings with employees, along with continuous monitoring and awareness efforts that reach across all levels of our operation.”
